Miriam Jaffe is an attorney with OAR Law, LLP who concentrates her practice areas in real estate and development law, and closely held business counseling, as well as estate planning and probate matters.

Attorney Miriam Jaffe has represented clients in connection with retail, industrial, residential, educational, and office (including medical office) development, including land assemblages, acquisitions, sales, leasing, financings, land use, planning, and zoning permitting matters, such as Dover amendment compliance.

She has advised the developer of an office and industrial park in regard to development, land use, leasing, financing, and sales, acted as local counsel to national-level mutual funds in connection with initial registrations and sales, amendments to constituent documents, mergers and financings, and advised the client in regard to re-domestication and reorganization of Massachusetts business trusts. Attorney Jaffe has also advised clients in regard to purchases and sales of small businesses, including convenience stores, bakeries, machine shops, marble/stone fabricators, and entity choice. She has administered the estate of a late solo practice physician, including closing and sale of a concierge medical practice and other business and personal matters, and advised developers of elder housing in acquisitions, developments, and financings.

  • Miriam has been program chairman for MCLE Seminars on the Massachusetts Uniform Trust Code, Trusts and Real Estate for several years and is co-chairman of the Real Estate Bar Association’s Estate Planning, Trust and Estate Administration Committee.
  • Miriam has served on the Board of Directors of REACH Beyond Domestic Violence, Inc. since 2007. She is a Class Agent for the Yale Alumni Fund. She is a prior Board Member of Project Joy and the Watertown Rotary Club. Miriam is an avid competitive and recreational sailor and a member of the a capella women’s Slavic and Women’s Baltic Singing Group “Sestre”.
